Val Passes The Gavel To Margaret, As New Rotary Year Begins

Margaret was a little nervous as the time approached to pass the gavel and Val was nowhere in sight.  Some were wondering whether Val had decided to maintain possession of the gavel  and serve another year as president.  But in the nick of time Val arrived, feeling better after an emergency dental appointment, to place the gavel in Margaret's capable hands for the coming year.  Margaret expressed the club's appreciation for Val's leadership and presented her with a plaque and past-president's pin.  Val praised Margaret's skills and graciously predicted a very successful coming year for NBMV Rotary.  We are grateful to both Margaret and Val for their willingness to tackle the challenging but rewarding job of Rotary club president.
