Evan Gersonde and Zak Armstrong, corporate partnership interns with the Minnesota Twins, offered an inside look at how the Twins organization partners with Minnesota businesses and charitable organizations to promote community service.  Evan and Zak had done their homework, weaving the concept of "beneficial to all concerned" from our Four Way Test into their presentation.  They talked about the Twins Community Fund, which focuses on youth baseball, ticket programs, grant programs and fundraising events, among it's many initiatives.  The Twins, along with Major League Baseball, are working on the All Star Legacy Project 2014, an $8 million charitable endeavor which will include renovation of the Ronald McDonald House, Partnership with CommonBond to create housing for 58 homeless veterans, and many other projects. The complete list can be found here: http://minnesota.twins.mlb.com/min/community/legacy_projects.jsp  Fans will help to choose the final Legacy project, funded by a $500,000 grant, by voting online at: AllStarGame.com/FansChoose.  The Twins organization also promotes community involvement by encouraging their players to make appearances and otherwise support their favorite Minnesota charities.  Zak and Evan also said we could contact them to get some Twins items for our Gold Plate Dinner.
