Margaret introduced a video about Maggie Doyne who, on a gap year backpacking trip at the age of 18, was captivated by the plight of orphans in Surkhet, Nepal.  These children were orphaned in the Nepalese Civil War, which had just ended.   Her response was to spend her life savings, all $5,000 of it, to buy some land and build an orphanage for these children.  As word of her accomplishment spread, individuals and charitable organizations began offering financial assistance which has led to the building of the Kopila Valley Primary School which now has over 300 students.  Maggie's orphanage has also grown, now housing 35 children.  It amazing what youthful enthusiasm and a "can do" attitude can accomplish!  You can check out the video at:  http://youtu.be/O-Xv9h5nBls
